I am a theater director and performer based in New York City
My work uses vulnerability, music, and humor to awaken empathy and ignite important conversations. I am drawn to ensemble-based, character-driven stories, and the crossover between language and emotion, philosophy and social good. I strive to make theater that is collaborative, impactful, and inclusive.
Born in Middleton, Wisconsin (home of the International Mustard Museum), I caught the theater bug at age eight: playing Zazu in a reenacted version of "The Lion King" in my basement. Since then, I received a BA in Theater from Dartmouth College Summa Cum Laude in 2017, and studied a semester of Shakespeare at the London Academy for Music and the Dramatic Arts. I have collaborated with artists such as Pamela Enz, Ed Sylvanus Iskander, Katie Lindsay, Sarah Cameron Hughes, Marina McClure, and Jeremy Pickard. I have performed at the Signature Theater (Columbia New Plays Festival), 14th St Y, Northern Stage, Playhouse on Park, and the New London Barn Playhouse, among others. I am currently the Artistic Emerging Leader at Ars Nova, and a member of the 2018-2019 SDCF Observership Class.
